The 9th annual Charlottetown Film Festival takes place in Downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, from October 13 – 15, 2023! Devoted to celebrating and showcasing the works of both emerging and established filmmakers, our festival has accomplished so much since its inception under the umbrella of The Charlottetown Film Society in 2015.

An important function of any film festival are the opportunities it provides for both networking and skills development; engaging Q & A sessions, accessible receptions, and informing panels are all things to look forward to at ChFF23! Focused on Canadian filmmakers—with particular focus on films that highlight the diverse world that we are part of—the 2023 Charlottetown Film Festival is where filmmakers want to be!

Thank you to all who have submitted! Filmmaker submissions are now closed.

An intimate and delightful festival.

Nice focus on local film community. A real indie festival and cinema. Nice folks and good audiences. This event is a must for those interested in PEI films.

The little film, big dreams! A great festival for filmmakers in the Atlantic region. Love all the films and the filmmakers. Thanks to all the organizers. Hope I can engage more in the future.

What I love about the Charlottetown Film Festival is the way they embrace the Atlantic region and champion local filmmakers. As someone who lives outside the region now, I feel the warmth of the Island welcome and comradeship.
