DOORS is a psychological, dramatic short that follows Zoey, a troubled young woman fighting for her life in a coma. While in this surreal subconscious state, Zoey opens three doors she couldn’t bear to unlock in the physical world as a last-ditch effort to overcome things she’s been struggling with inside for so long.
Alexandra McDonald is a 23-year-old emerging Canadian director from Prince Edward Island. In 2017, she graduated from Humber College’s Acting for Film & TV program and is currently signed with Ronda Cooper at The Characters Talent Agency.
DOORS is her directorial debut. She currently has other projects in the works under the production company she runs with her sister Shelby, 5 Russell Films, including a project that she refers to as “a love letter” to PEI.
She resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and works under Marc Tetreault and Jason Levangie at Shut Up & Colour Pictures.
